Fish Sauce with Chili (Nam Pla Prik)

Fish Sauce with Chili (Nam Pla Prik)

If you’ve dine at a Lao or Thai restaurant, you had this sauce.  This sauce is considered traditional for us Lao and Thai people.  I always make sure I have this sauce on hand.  You can spoon it over plain rice, fried rice, noodles, etc.

Back in the day, when eating spicy food was a part of my life I would make this sauce pretty spicy.  Now my stomach is very sensitive and can not take spicy anything.  I mean it’s even sensitive to Salsa!  I created this recipe more on the milder side but you are welcome adjust the spice level.
